Lizzard Creek - located near Ft. Dodge, IA.  An excellent creek (when water is up) to practice many different skills whether it is practicing alternative river entry methods as Brian is doing above, or experiencing large wave playgrounds.  Early Spring or after heavy rainfalls provides a very energizing lift of your senses!

Yellow River, located in NE Iowa provides one of Iowa's faster moving rivers.  Ask my dad as he went for a nice relaxing swim.

Upper Buffaloo River - Located in NW corner of Arkansas.  We started in Ponca and ended at camp at Kyle's Landing.  Rated #1 river for beginner kayakers looking for a step up to a little more challenge then you'll experience in Iowa.  We do not do rentals for this stretch as many local outfitters are located along this river.

Upper Buffaloo River in Arkansas as it starts to pick up speed!  This is a very HIGHLY recommended river for anyone to paddle.  Pam Egger is practicing her skills on this upper stretch of the Buffaloo.  Beautiful scenery and plenty of fast bends to provide numerous challenges.  April is a great time of year to paddle this stretch of river.  Many local outfitters in Arkansas are located along this stretch of river to provide you service.

Upper Iowa River - This group was traveling in style....Canoe equipped with electric trolling motor and fake monkey hanging from a pole on the back that moved around.  We ran across many interesting kayak & canoe configurations while floating the Upper Iowa river by Chimney Rock and this group took #1.

Local tubers (Jake & Abby) relaxing having a cold one alongside the Upper Iowa River located near Decorah, IA.  A very popular tubing river!  However this particular weekend we floated, the water was extremely cold! Not sure what they drank to stay warm but hats off to them and their group!
